Chaos is a music video for Voltak, a Vietnamese beatboxer and vocal DJ based in Sydney. Voltak built his following on the streets, looping complex beatbox sets live for crowds around Town Hall. Made with a close friend, a small crew, and an even smaller budget, the project was a deliberate test of how far a lean production could be pushed.


Alongside the video, I shot commercial-grade photography for the release, which went on to feature on Rap Việt Season 3, one of Vietnam's biggest hip-hop competition shows.

A cyberpunk world without the neon. Shooting in black and white strips the genre back to its core: hard contrast, harsh light, and gritty texture.

What started as a test of how far a small crew and budget could go ended up exceeding every expectation we set. Chaos was selected as one of the top five music videos at the 2021 Sony Film Festival, standing alongside productions with far greater resources. For a project built on instinct, resourcefulness, and a shared drive to push ourselves, it was proof that a clear vision can carry further than any budget.
